The slag casting machine is used to produce ingots from lead oxidation slag. After cooling, the slag ingots are ejected from the casting molds. Multiple casting molds are fixed onto a chain and supported by rollers that roll along a track. As the chain moves, the molds slowly advance simultaneously. Molten hot slag flows continuously from the smelting furnace into an adjustable-angle chute, where it is steadily and evenly poured into the casting molds. Finally, once the slag ingots have undergone gentle cooling, they are automatically released from the molds at the head-end roller.
